I went in for a free brake pad check for October breast cancer awareness. They said i didn't need breaks but they broke a piece of my wheel and want me to pay 400 for them to fix what they broke. Wild. I have a video of my interaction, I wish I could post it here so you could see for yourselves. Terrible experience, especially considering I've been a client since we moved to yelm 3 years ago. I will not be coming back and I will make sure people know how badly I was treated. Edit: Store manager Allen gave me a call to talk about the incident and review. He was very professional and offered a great solution. I believe that if he would have been alerted to the issue while I was in house, the same solution would have been offered and I would have left an outstanding 5 star. I will update again once remedied.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Josh. We’re sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with your recent visit. We hope that we can offer you some clarity on the situation, so that we can come to a positive resolution. When our team removed the wheels to complete your free brake inspection, we discovered that a wheel stud had broken when removing the wheels. This can happen when a lug-nut is cross-threaded during a previous wheel installation. Cross-threading will make it more vulnerable to breaking. As the wheel installation was done on a prior date by someone outside of our shop, the cross-threading and resulting stud breakage were not due to work completed by our team. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, and we will be happy to discuss it with you further to provide any additional clarity. Please feel free to call us at 360-245-0388 to speak directly with our manager, Allen. You can also email us at [email protected]. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you Josh!
