Brakes for Breasts 2021
What is Brakes for Breasts?
The Brakes for Breasts Fundraiser started in 2011 with five Automotive Repair Shops in Cleveland, Ohio. Now it has grown to hundreds of Independent Auto Repair Shops across the United States and Canada. Since its formation, shops have been raising funds through Brakes for Breasts for Breast Cancer Vaccine research. As of 2021 this fundraiser has brought in over one million dollars!
How Does Brakes for Breasts Work?
During the month of October, Graham Auto Repair is offering Free Brake Pads to our customers with cars and light trucks. As our customer you will only pay for the labor and any other parts necessary to complete the Brake Service. To take advantage of this offer please contact us by October 29, 2021 to schedule your appointment.
At the end of the Fundraising season we will take 10% of all Brake Services completed during the campaign, and donate that amount directly to Dr. Vincent Tuohy and the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.
This year will be our second year participating in the Brakes for Breasts Fundraiser. In case you missed it, last year we made a 10% donation of $824.75. Our team is looking forward to seeing what our donation will be at the end of this year's campaign!
If you are interested in participating in the Fundraiser this year, you can call our Service Advisors 253-847-2221. Since we are closed on the weekends, please contact us by October 29, 2021 to schedule an appointment with us. As long as you contact us by October 29th for this offer, we will honor this limited time "Free Brake Pads" Special.
Vaccine Research Program
With the help of the $1 Million raised through this Fundraiser, the FDA has cleared the path to initiate the Clinical Trial of the Breast Cancer Vaccine! This vaccine technology was invented and developed by Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his research team at the Cleveland Clinic. The clinical trial will be led by Oncologist Dr. Thomas Budd who is also from the Cleveland Clinic.
The initial focus of this vaccine technology is on Triple Negative Breast Cancer; but the hope is for it to prevent other types of breast cancer as well. Dr. Tuohy has said, "Our vision has always been to prevent cancer before it arises."
